Rosewood Transitional House On Air
The Reach ministry in conjunction with Ladies' ministry has been assisting the Rosewood House - a transitional living facility for women - to support the great work they are doing there. The women have made huge strides in getting back on their feet and we are pleased to be a part of it.
I was honored to be invited to sit in on a "Coffee Break" this morning at the Rosewood House. The Coffee Break is a KUIC Radio sponsorship where the station brings coffee and pastries and does a 60 second promo spot for the place of business. They interviewed Suzy, the house director, about the program and allowed her to advertise a fundraiser event happening this Saturday.
The energy at the house was amazing and the excitement could not be contained from the wide variety of women - including ladies from the house, the program director, mentors, sponsors, and graduates from the program. While Barbara from KUIC interviewed Suzy, we all yelled and screamed our support in the background. The caffeine and sugar likely added to the energy, but it was all tasty and in good fun.
I'm glad that we here at Family Worship Center are involved in helping the community and making a difference in people's lives. I am excited to see what God has already done and what He is continuing to do at the Rosewood House giving these ladies strength, renewal, and ultimately salvation.
